Complaints about doctors subjecting Jewish colleagues to anti-Semitic abuse have soared since the October 7 attacks, figures show.
The General Medical Council said it received eight such grievances in the first nine months of 2023, prior to the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel.
But 60 doctors were reported to the doctors' regulator for alleged anti-Semitic conduct or remarks against colleagues in the four months that followed.
Of these 60 complaints, 22 are undergoing 'triage', a process where officials determine whether a complaint should proceed to a full investigation.
According to the GMC, 1,903 doctors identified as Jewish in 2023, the most recent data available. This is equal to around 1 per cent of licensed doctors in the UK.

Data obtained by the BBC under Freedom of Information laws also show a rise in complaints about Islamophobia by doctors since October 7, with 16 cases from October through to January but just three in the preceding nine months

The surge in anti-Semitism in the UK since the October 7 attacks is one of the highest in Europe, survey finds
There are 53,359 doctors in the UK who identify as Muslim – 17 per cent of doctors – according to latest figures.
Of the 16 complaints made after October 7, 12 are in triage and four have been closed.
One senior Jewish doctor, who works at a London hospital, told the BBC he had been subjected to a vicious anti-Semitic outburst by a colleague a few days after the deadly attacks when Israel launched its own air strikes on the Gaza Strip.
He said: 'This doctor knew I was Jewish, and just days after October 7 he started expressing support for Hamas, repeatedly shouting, 'You're a baby-killer', in my face.'
The doctor said he was 'extremely upset, horrified and shaken' by the harassment.
It is understood the hospital concerned is investigating all aspects of the case.

Dr Salman Waqar, of the British Islamic Medical Association, said the figures are likely to underestimate the number of Islamophobic attacks as people are reluctant to report them or are worried if they were to complain, they would lose their visas.
'These figures are creating a system of 'us and them' and shouldn't come across like we're in the 'racism Olympics',' Dr Waqar said.
Dr Dave Rich, of the Community Security Trust, a charity that monitors anti-Semitism, said: 'It is shocking to see this happening within the medical profession – where we expect everybody to behave with neutrality.'
Health Secretary Victoria Atkins has previously warned the Professional Standards Authority, which oversees the GMC, that it is 'vital for public confidence' that 'any instances of extremism, discrimination or hate speech are dealt with in a thorough and timely manner'.
A GMC spokesman said: 'Doctors are entitled to personal beliefs but our guidance is clear that discrimination is not compatible with the responsibilities and duties of a doctor.'
